COMMITTEES AND EVENTS
BUSINESS PROMOTIONS:
This committee is responsible for anything that has to do with WABA Business Promotions, such as the “Welcome to Watsontown” Packets, Taste of the Valley Expo, etc. The purpose of this committee is to promote member businesses and drive customers to those businesses.
CHAIRPERSON:

EASTER FOOD DRIVE:
Volunteers are needed to help collect, pack and deliver canned foods to Neighbors Helping Neighbors, donations of canned goods and other non-perishable food items are collected at this event. This Food Drive is in conjunction with the Watsontown Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt at the Watsontown Park. Collecting and delivering the food involves approximately 3 hours on the day of the event.

FOURTH OF JULY PARADE:
CHAIRPERSON:
BARB DIEHL (COLDWELL BANKER PENN ONE REALTY)
MELISSA ROWSE (MONTGOMERY HOUSE LIBRARY)
HALLOWEEN PARADE:
Volunteers are needed to stuff candy bags, pass out numbers to the participants in the parade, need judges for the parade. Monetary prizes are given to each winner in their age group. Judging for the Halloween parade involves approximately 2 hours on the night of the parade.

KYLE & REBEKAH GOLLA - CHAIRPERSONS (CRONRATH FUNERAL HOME)
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY:
Volunteers are needed to help the chairperson to organize the festivities at Sovereign Bank parking lot. This ceremony is usually the first Friday of Dec. and festivities include a guest speaker to introduce the pastor who gives a brief blessing over the community, singing of Christmas Carols and the lighting of the tree when Santa arrives.

This committee organizes the Parade on the 4th. Volunteers are needed for making goody bags, lining up the parade, finding judges for the parade and handing out the various awards.

WATSONTOWN COMMUNITY YARD SALES:
Volunteers are needed to help the chairperson organize the Yard Sale. This committee only does pre-event preparation. There is no work that is done on the day of the yard sales.
